Here's a pic from last evening's conjuction of Jupiter, Mercury, and a very young Moon, as seen from Saguaro National Park West: http://www.pbase.com/pegsam/image/107563400 I was able to pick out Venus naked eye (4 pm MST) while waiting for this sunset. The cresent moon was much more difficult and I didn't catch that until 5:45 pm. Tonight should also be a good night to catch the Moon about 2 degrees east of Jupiter, with Mercury just a half degree SW of Jupiter. Venus will be about 22 degrees east of the Moon. -- See message header for info on list archives or unsubscribing, and please send personal replies to the author, not the list.
