This message sent to a number of individuals should also have been sent
to this list. This message should resolve this. Hope this doesn't
confuse anyone.

This Saturday, April 13th is the long awaited marathon, being held at
the site west of Arizona City, AZ.

If you attend and whether you participate or not, be sure to arrive
early allowing time to setup and socialize.

Solar events, all times are Mountain Standard.
    Saturday; sun set 6:55 PM
                moon set 7:55 PM
                   twilight 8:21 PM
      Sunday; twilight 4:33 AM
                  sun rise 5:58 AM

If you plan on leaving before twilight Sunday morning, make announcement
before hand and keep white lights to a minimum; this will help preserve
night vision and NOT ruin any astrophotographs in progress.

For participants; be sure to have a check-off list, see myself or Jack
Jones if you need one. Please turn yours in to us before we leave the
site Sunday morning.

There's a good possibility of seeing 107 objects. Lost in the solar
glare and not visible are M33, M74 and M77. Andromeda will be an easier
morning object, where as, normally, it is an evening object.

There will be awards for first, second, and third places and 50 or more
objects.

Directions: From Tucson go west on I-10, take exit 200 Sunland Gin Road
and turn left to go south. From Phoenix go east on I-10, take exit 200
Sunland Gin Road and turn right to go south. From this point it is
about 29 miles to the site. After about 16 miles the road turns sharply
to the west. After another four miles the main road will turn south
just after the "Silver Bells Estates" signs. Three miles past the
signs, the road will veer off the the west and another five miles the
road passes through a gate. Turn left immediately after the gate and
continue for another 2/3 mile, driving over or through another gate.
The site is to the right.

If you would like a map to the site e-mailed to you, please contact
either Jack or myself off-list.
