As far as giving blood goes, I've learnt the hard and painful way that one
of the best things you can do is to drink 2-4 litres of water in the 24
hours before the donation.
Between that and a bit of "readjusting" by a little muscle manipulation
man, turned me from not being able to give my full 400mL (or so), to being
able to do so, and in 10 minutes, not 15!
Chocolate hasn't had any effect on my donations ... but I guess I don't
eat dark chocolate.

"good news for chocoholics"

Well, sort of.

Trouble is , next time you visit the blood bank, they'll expect
"a glass and a half" from you.

Cheers,

Michael E. Granat
