Yes, it seems to be hard to reproduce (only the one Win7 64bit system I
have shows the problem). I use KatMouse under another system (WinXP SP2

I was only trying it on Win7 64bit.

Ok. I just realized I didn't answer some of your older questions yet, so here is some missing information.

Graphics card is an nVidia GTX 275 896 MB, driver v257.21
The desktop is pretty much default, with some of the visual 'bling' disabled (window and taskbar animations, menu and quickinfo fade animation). Utilities which load on startup (in addition to KatMouse) are RivaTuner (just for fan control of the graphics card), Virtual CloneDrive, MS Security Essentials, and Logitech SetPoint.

[ btw, should the above linked file be different from the one you posted
on October 14? I tried clearing the cache, re-downloading, and even
another browser, but I still get the same version. No proxy. ]

Sorry, I uploaded to the wrong location. Try it again now:

Thanks, got the new version. The behavior with it is interesting, just when it tries to set 12.5% grey, the test window disappears, and reappears after setting red, but stays 'frozen' on the red color (everything is ok when I disable KatMouse). Another thing I just noticed: Shortly before the test window disappears, its taskbar entry ("Argyll Display Calibration Window") appears and then stays in the taskbar until it's finished, which doesn't happen if KatMouse is deactivated (the taskbar entry shows for a short amount of time at the end, after setting yellow).
