Yes Florian, I have read Frederic's pointers, but unfortunately I cannot
position the probe towards the lenses, since it means I will have to converge
the three guns of this CRT video projector on the diffuser just for
calibration..............way too much trouble.
I also cannot increase the brightness of this projector anymore.
......about choosing another native whitepoint? What do you mean?
For movie watching the correct whitepoint is 6500K......changing it to some
other one like 5000 or something will not give optimum results.
By the way, is there a way or a switch to set to have  Argyll retry failed
instruments reads?
Also, the brightness levels I am coping with are pretty normal with video
projectors.
Does this mean Argyll is good for only LCD/CRT computer monitor calibration?

Rajiv Mehra

The brightness is really low. That would explain why the instrument is
having a hard time measuring the patches imho (did you read Frédéric's
post regarding the matter, he already gave some very good pointers). Is
there a way you can increase the brightness, maybe choose another/native
whitepoint and/or position the instrument in another way like Frédéric
suggested?

Regards,

Florian
