I think that if this should be possible it could be wise to start with
one of the cheaper NEC monitor with adjustable monitor lut. It should
also be widely available and pretty new, or something similar from
another brand. My point is that starting with a >$3500 monitor would
be to hard.
I'm talking about under $1000.
I found this page about GammaComp from nec and it looks like the
gammacurve they upload are a txt file in csv format. Nice.
