Possible photometrics for output colorspace Lab are:
1: CIELab
2: ICCLab


Try -e1 or -e2?
I've not tried this myself, but I think what's happening here is that there are two different ways Lab data can be encoded within a TIFF file - thus just selecting Lab is ambiguous and cctiff is asking you to clarify which encoding you want? 


Oops! Does that mean I should try "1" or "2" with the -e parameter?
