Got it!
I guess, given the choice, I'd rather go with 1, CIE Lab encoding. No?
Seems to me more logical for comparing against actual spectrophotometric
measurements.
Whereas ICC Lab encoding is limited to =/- 128?
If that's the case then either option will yield the same results :(
