Jeff,
Thanks for the quick reply.
The software is version 7.00.018, that's why I didn't expect to need the
CSA/RSA files. I am having so much trouble, though. It must just be me.
I have been playing with all the variables you have mentioned. I am getting
ready to put a name on a doctor's jacket and have been testing with various
keyboard lettering and some scraps of similar fabric that would keep the
name an appropriate size.
This should be pretty basic, but I don't seem to be able to get it right.
The fabric I am using to test is shirt weight, and the coat fabric is enough
heavier that it's probably no a good test fabric after all. I'll try find
something else.
This is the first time I've tried to do lettering this small. I am a little
limited because this is for a very petite woman, so I want crisp lettering
that doesn't dominate her. Do you recommend a particular keyboard lettering?
Thanks,
Mary

The CSA/RSA upgrade that I made available for download is for software
version 6.08.522 only. Do not put it into the 2006 or version 7.00.018
software that is available, or any other version for that matter. If you are

not sure what version you have, with the software running and open, click on

Help than About Amaya OS. It will open a window with the version number in
it.

Question, if you sew the lettering you are doing on other garment types
does the bobbin show through?

Normally bobbin showing through is a bobbin too loose, too much thread
feed, a density problem in the design, lack of or the wrong type of backing
for the garment being sewn on.
