You can quickly check for smooth rotation of the red roller by holding down the "Laser" button on the keypad and then pressing the "Arrow Up" button at the same time once. You will find the machine will rotate the rollers, inline to sew, a little bit. You can hit this key combination as many times as you like to verify the rollers are turning smoothly and without hesitation. If you find you do have an issue, you will have to dig deeper to investigate such as removing covers or the rollers themselves. It has been my experience that 75% of Amaya operators (give or take) do not lubricate their red pinch rollers nearly enough.
