You could save a lot of money by simply connecting a lead from the output of your existing cassette deck to the line-in on the sound card of your PC and then use Goldwave or sound forge or MP3 direct cut. I have no idea how well the software would work. Hopefully you could just use it as a drive and use any other recording software you have with your computer. It seems rather over-priced, but it may get the rather off-putting job of transferring tapes done. -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "roger south" <roger.south@xxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, August 21, 2007 10:27 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: usb cassette deck > Hi Ibby > > I've no idea I'm afraid I only know about them from emails received. > > Roger > > Some mistakes are too much fun to only make once. > > > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Ibby Karbhari" <ibbyk@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> > To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> > Sent: Tuesday, August 21, 2007 8:57 AM > Subject: [access-uk] Re: usb cassette deck > > >> How accessible is the software that comes with either machine? >> Ibby >> >> -----Original Message----- >> From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf >> Of >> roger south >> Sent: Tuesday, August 21, 2007 8:46 AM >> To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx >> Subject: [access-uk] Re: usb cassette deck >> >> Very expensive as cassettes are on their way into the graveyard.
