If it's the same one on offer last month it can but think about it a moment. Cassettes are becoming history now and less and less are passing through my hands. Also as Ibby explained it's so easy to set up a stereo cable between the line-in of the sound card and line-out, or headphone socket, of the player it's an unnecessary expense.

Woops!

Sorry to respond to my own message. Was looking at the tape deck above.

It seems there are two listed and the second is a cassette deck at £79.99, ordered only via the WEB. They mention that it's easily slotted into a bay of the computer but don't say if it can be used freestanding.

Hi,

I looked up that USB twin cassette deck on Maplin and it was priced at £149.99.

I have no idea how well the software would work. Hopefully you could just use it as a drive and use any other recording software you have with your computer.

It seems rather over-priced, but it may get the rather off-putting job of transferring tapes done.

Hi Ibby

I've no idea I'm afraid I only know about them from emails received.

How accessible is the software that comes with either machine?

Very expensive as cassettes are on their way into the graveyard. Maplin's do

a similar conversion unit for £49.99
