Hi Marie,

This means that the media (wires) are correct but there is no IP address
because you need to run the wizard on the host to get the DHCP server up
and running.

Enjoy that sunshine!!!!

Andrew.

George,
The connection we want to use is the one integral to the mother boards,
both pcs have exactly the same one, so, compatibility shouldn't be an
issue.
Knew about the cross over cable from a message you posted on the list a
while ago.
Can't find any program on the list to unblock from firewall, network
framework is unblocked.
Now the connection status on my pc says limited through incompatibility
or lack of connectivity.
Must check cables to make sure they are in the right connectors.
Not now though, beautiful sunshine here must go and enjoy it while it
lasts!

Marie
