Hi Marie, I'm confused. If a network card has gone down, is there another RJ45 on that system somewhere? You should also be aware that if you are connecting 2 PCs with RJ45 cables between network cards, you need a "crossover" cable. On the other hand, if the PC are connected via a Router, for example, you use a "straight through" or "patch" cable. This all too often catches people out.
