Not to mention also that the Nebula utilises audio description in a much
slicker manner than the Freecom, including independently changing the level
of the audio description. And yes, you can have both at once <Smile>.

If you go to the Nebula site direct

they have two master units essentially. One is an internal card and one is
the USB device. The card is 79 pounds and the USB is 89.
From the same site, you can view the documentation on-line so you can see
how it all works.
Apart from the fact that it is so accessible, packed with keystrokes and
lots of useful features, the USB device is particularly easy to set up. You
could do it in less than five minutes and I did not even need to scan the
channels myself.
There are a lot of features I could write about. But one of them allows you
to control the unit from an alternative PC. So if you are away from home
and you suddenly decide that you would like to record a radio or TV
programme, assuming the PC is on you can log in and do that.

with some interest before making my decision. Can you give me the model of
the Nebula system? And, is it available through the normal outlets? Dabs,

Well having tried the freecom USB stick again on another PC this morning
and
got completely frustrated at the fact that it just wasn't recording
anything, I decided to get out my Nebula USB digital receiver which I can
now use as I have a new TV aerial where my computers are.
I have not used the Nebula software for a long time and I installed the
latest version today and I am really glad I did. In my view, there is
absolutely no comparison between the USB TV stick and the Nebula solution.
All the items with Nebula are accessible, even the programme descriptions,
and no special configuration is required. It unobtrusively records
programmes, even those with audio description. Furthermore, the multitude
of options available is quite amazing and all very easy to use.
So I may either let someone such as a family member have the USB TV stick
or
it's going back. The good thing that has come out of me purchasing this
device is the fact that I have a tV aerial now so I can use the Nebula box
(smile). The regret I have is that I have the USB nebula box as opposed to
the internal TV card so it's not quite as tidy. On the other hand, if I
change my computer, at least I can easily swap it over. But I would
certainly recommend using Nebula to anyone even though I have only been
using it for a couple of hours.
