Before losing my sight I used bluetooth earpieces driving cars, vans, articulated trucks and motorcycles with no problems at all. Far safer than holding the phone in your hand as you drive, which was allowed back then. Pressing the button to answer and end a call is no different to taking your hand off the wheel to change gear. Hello Ibrahim, thanks for the usual good INFO. I asked the question on behalf of my good lady wife Anne. She is thinking of using an ear piece in her car with her Android mobile phone. I have purchased the Legend Bluetooth ear piece from Amazon. Can you please tell me anything about this product please. She is wondering how difficult or easy it will be for use in her car. Does this product have voice prompts like you were mentioning in your reply?. Hi Billy. There are headsets on the market now like the Voyager Legend HD which include voice announcements and voice control, so when a call comes in, you can answer the call by just saying so. Also, if you need to press a button on the headset, it will usually be the most prominent and well placed button which performs most of the call related functions, so moving your hand from the steering wheel for a second is not going to cause you to get a ticket unless the copper who stops you has had a really bad day and is just looking for someone to take it out on LOL. All the best, Ibrahim. From: Broxi72 <mailto:william.inglis72@xxxxxxxxx> Sent: Sunday, April 13, 2014 4:56 PM To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] headset query. Hi guys, I have always wondered if bluetooth headsets are totally safe using in cars?. If a car driver is wearing a bluetooth headset whilst driving his or her motor car, and a call comes in. How on earth can the driver answer the call safely. The driver should have both hands on the steering wheel at all times. In that case, as the driver would have to raise one hand in the general direction of the headset in order to answer the incoming call. It cannot be total safe.
