Hi Alex,

Actually at the bottom of the messages you get from this list there're instructions on how to get help with commands etc!

"For other list commands such as vacation mode... send a message to
access-uk-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx
with the Subject:- faq"

I've never had any problems with initiating commands to emailing lists on freelists using the website. As an example, to change any of the access-uk emailing list settings, go to freelists.org and in the search box type access-uk. From the list of results, click on access-uk to go to the access UK emailing list page. Scroll down and type your email address in the appropriate edit box; this is the email address that you used to subscribe to the access-uk list. Now, move down to the list of actions combo box, choose an action, click the submit button and you're done.

HTH.

Subject: [access-uk] freelists commands

Hi

Although I did get on the lists I wanted to so far on freelists, I found the
process difficult, taking a number of attempts before getting on a couple,
and I was unsuccessful at one time in trying to change my mail delivery
option to vacation. I've been told that the best way of changing settings
on freelists is via webmail. Is this true? If there is a more reliable way
of issuing commands I would be interested in knowing. Someone else on
another list also found it difficult to get started on a freelists mailing
list. Any suggestions as to where I can go to get a help file and any other
advice would be most welcome.
