Alexander, Not surprisingly http://www.canon.co.uk But more specifically:- (The URL is very long, ending in .asp so it will doubtless wrap over two lines) http://software.canon-europe.com/Scanners/Flatbed_Scanners/C anoScan_D1250U2443.asp George. -----Original Message----- From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Alexander Shannon Sent: 11 June 2006 21:13 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: Which way should a scannor's software be installed Hi George and all, Sorry to reply to my own message, but to follow on from my last message, We have managed to get the scanner, Canon CanoScan D1250 u2, connected to the computer but the disk seems to have a flash screen with options on it. We have tried pressing F8 when the flash screen comes up to bypass it and get to the installation but this is not working. One of the reasons I think this may be is that the disk was designed for a windows 98 machine but I am trying to run the disk on a Windows XP home machine. George, If I have got the scanner make correct, can I get the drivers from Cannon's website and if so, could either yourself or someone else on the list point me to the correct URL please. Also, I think that the scanner disk has a copy of Omnipage on it but we can not get this to install as part of the scanner software. Thank you in advance for any help.
