Jackie,

Music doesn't get a sync though as another service (now in the States and here I think next year) is going to be for this - but don't hold your breath as some of the limitations are annoying to some of us.

Thanks Saqib, that is very useful to know. I am always
wireless as I use it at home, so presumably can activate
this through the settings menu? Since updating it, I
haven't had a chance to touch it all afternoon I've been
that busy.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi Jacky. I-cloud is Apples new cloud storrage space. If
you back up to i-cloud! You can restore your I-pod from
I-cloud. All your apps and data will be synched once per
day as long as you are wirelessly connected.

Hi Jackie, as far as I know location services means GPS.

Subject: [access-uk] Updating iPod Touch

Hi all, but especially to Andy Collins,

I have now updated my iPod Touch to the latest software
version, having first updated any apps and ensuring
they were backed up.

It took about an hour on the Mac to complete the whole
process, but it went smoothly, and DD as he is known to
me, (among other things that are less polite and
therefore not conducive to this list), is speaking.

But happily for me is the reward that TuneIn now opens,
and all my presets have been saved and are available to
use as before.

I would say that when I completed the update part of
the upgrade on the Mac, the iPod Touch itself had
questions for me. One of these was to do with Location
Services, which I opted to turn off. I am not sure
what it actually does, so perhaps someone more
knowledgeable might advise me.

Then I was asked to create an Apple ID for something
concerning Cloud, but

I
again declined to do so because I already have one for
purchasing etc. And
if someone could tell me about Cloud, I would be
interested to know. There
are obviously new things in this upgrade that I haven't
followed threads on, so apologies for repetition. I
suppose you only read what concerns you at the time
unless you can help someone else?

Anyway it's done Andy, and TuneIn works again, so I
will do my utmost to suffer DD in return.

Many thanks to anyone who can tell me in summary what
the new updates are, and what Location Services is.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns
