Hi Jackie,

Bingo! that works a wee treat, thanks.
Wondering.... is it possible to put RNIB talking books on to the Ipod touch to listen to?

thanks,

Scott

Hi Scott

If you are listening to a station, the stop button is generally at the
bottom right corner of the iPod, sort of below and to the right of the Home button. Press the stop button, then go back a level, and you will be out of that station. Your back button is towards the top left of your wee friend.

I hope this makes sense.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns

Hi Jackie,

Still getting to grips with my new wee pal, the Ipod touch.
Loving the radio apps! I have though, another wee question.... say for
instance like right now... when I am listening to the planet rock app....
and then I want to switch off the tunes.... how can I do this without
shutting the full unit off?

thanks,

Scott

Subject: [access-uk] Updating iPod Touch

Hi all, but especially to Andy Collins,

I have now updated my iPod Touch to the latest software version, having
first updated any apps and ensuring they were backed up.

It took about an hour on the Mac to complete the whole process, but it
went
smoothly, and DD as he is known to me, (among other things that are less
polite and therefore not conducive to this list), is speaking.

But happily for me is the reward that TuneIn now opens, and all my presets
have been saved and are available to use as before.

I would say that when I completed the update part of the upgrade on the
Mac,
the iPod Touch itself had questions for me. One of these was to do with
Location Services, which I opted to turn off. I am not sure what it
actually does, so perhaps someone more knowledgeable might advise me.

Then I was asked to create an Apple ID for something concerning Cloud, but

I
again declined to do so because I already have one for purchasing etc.
And
if someone could tell me about Cloud, I would be interested to know.
There
are obviously new things in this upgrade that I haven't followed threads
on,
so apologies for repetition. I suppose you only read what concerns you at
the time unless you can help someone else?

Anyway it's done Andy, and TuneIn works again, so I will do my utmost to
suffer DD in return.

Many thanks to anyone who can tell me in summary what the new updates are,
and what Location Services is.

Kind Regards,

Jackie Cairns
