As I mentioned to Paul, I read your write-up very soon afterwards and discovered you'd told me.

You may want to answer the question I've asked Paul about the reception you've got when you've been out and about with it, please.

We're also wondering if there have been any upgrades, for which you've needed to use the USB socket. If you've upgraded, how did you find the process?

We're definitely getting a radio soon and are just working through our options now.

We intend to go and have a play around at John Lewis too in the next week - and then decide! I have a feeling that we'll end up with the Pure Move for out and about and the Dualit Kitchen for home! <Smiles>

Hi Carol

Not Tris, but he won't mind! (smile).

Basically, the Pure Move has what you call a preset
button. You press this, then use your left or right
arrow of the joystick to move between those you have set.
It always defaults to number one when you go into it, so
you just jog right once to reach Radio Two if that's what
you've set preset two as.

I hope this is making sense, but come back to me if you
want a further breakdown of how it works.

Tris,

Looking back on this thread, are you saying the Pure Move
doesn't have preset buttons, or just a few?

DIGITAL RADIO?

I also have a Pure Move and its reception is really quite
good and better certainly than my Evoke 3. The downside
of the Move from a "blind perspective" will be its lack
of direct preset buttons which means it is somewhat more
reliant on its display. I would suggest people try it
with a friendly local retailer before committing to it
The Move does not take dry batteries but has an internal
recharable that seems to hold rharge quite well.

The nearest radio in size to the Move that I have seen
if the Roberts Ecologic 2 (which I think is a renamed
version of something that I saw

earlier this year) which will take dry batteries and has
direct preset

buttons.

Regards.
