hi carol, no have not used the other programme, but i like audio grabber
because it is so easy to use and you can rip into mp3 or wave file format.
you can also get the track name for album from their online data base which
is also easy to use.
cheers anthony
Hi there Anthony and Graham,
Graham, I presume you meant CDEX and *NOT* CDEXP??? I use the former but that doesn't solve the problem. In fact, interestingly enough, it will copy into MP3 the first minute or two and then cuts out.
Anthony, I'd be very interested to know if Audio Grabber gets round this one, though it may well not do so. BTW: Why do you think it's better than CDEX, or haven't you used that programme?
Thanks to you both for your input.

Thereyou need to go through the process of "ripping" the cd first which involves the process of turning those cd tracks into files on your computer.are a number of programs out there to do this including one calledCDEXP.orI am not the best person to advise you on which is the most accessibleameasy to use as I do not have much personal experience in this field but Isure someone else can help.
Cheers

Hi all,
Can anyone help with this one?
I have created a CD (which has no copyright attached to the taped material from which it was copied) and have run into a problem in changing the attributes of the files which are now "Read Only" etc on the CD. These files are .CDA files and have been produced with a tape
to CD copier. I now want to copy them over to my computer and don't really wish to keep them on CD's.
I have found a few suggested utilities out there but have found nothing to suggest that they are going to do this job, so I'm particularly interested to learn if anyone has such utilities which they use that enable them to change attributes that Windows (and DOS) will not change.
Of course, if I don't find any other answers, I shall be asking questions of the manufacturers of the tape/CD copier used, but hope I may solve this easily enough.
