I've solved that file problem. I think the original hiccup was
something wrong with that particular disc.
People say the quality of Audio Grabber is better than CDEX but, unless
it really is, I have all the facilities you mention on CDEX; but

hi carol, no have not used the other programme, but i like audio grabber
because it is so easy to use and you can rip into mp3 or wave file
format.
you can also get the track name for album from their online data base
which
is also easy to use.
