So why don't you all just email them, about these problems. I do and sometimes get answers also which surprises me. I have just today emailed them and complained about the talking measuring jug they sell surely if enough of us do this we should get a result. Come on you lot give it a go give them hell over it, I think some of these items they sell for us are not worth much atoll, and it seems to me that they don't check them thoroughly enough before they sell them to people like us that need the things. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Iain Lackie" <ilackie@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx>

This is a problem they really need to address. Currently there is no way you can order magazines or change your subscriptions online. The longest I have had to wait for a call back was a week. By that time I had almost forgotten what the original issue was.Iain----- Original Message ----- From: "Dean Wilcox" <wilcoxdean@xxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, September 30, 2008 7:20 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: RNIB online shopAdmittedly the RNIB online shop is nothing fancy but I've used it a few times with no problem. They're actually a lot quicker than they used to be at getting things posted out.In fact I ordered something online for someone the other week because they wanted an item because when they got through after too many attempts over the phone the RNIB said they were busy and offered to phone them back. It turned out to be the following day by which time I'd already placed the order. At 18:55 30/09/2008, you wrote:I don't use it, other than to browse and sort out what I want and then I phone them up but that's another pain, sometimes they don't give you the option to queue, you just get cut off and have to keep trying again as they tell you their lines are busy, for people who still pay for their calls, which is most if not all in this case as its a local number you're paying to connect every time you try, it wants stoppingTrace----- Original Message ----- From: "Chris Hallsworth" <christopherhallsworth71@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Tuesday, September 30, 2008 4:32 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: RNIB online shopThey're online shopping system is rubbish in my view. They expect you to create an account to buy the goods, which is fair enough, but there's no way to manage your account afterwards. I remember a couple or so years ago that I had to create a new account just because I couldn't retrieve my old details. StrangelyI can't find any way of logging off and, even though I have received an email confirming receipt of my order, the items are still in my basket? Should I be concerned about this? If anyone from RNIB could advise me whether this is correct I would be grateful. thanks.
