Hi all. I have just bought the NC10 and it's great. I have done the alterations regarding screensavers and have the XP one running. The battery is great. I have got rid of MacAfee and installed AVG. System Access runs great on it. The lady who served ne thought I was buying it for my wife. She didn't think people with low vision could use netbooks. So I then started to tell her about screen readers and she seemed surprised to learn of assistive technology. All these settings are optional, if you like them enabled, leave them on. OK, first, look in the advanced tab of system settings, and disable all the visual stuff like menu animation.Then, set all screen savers, desktop backgrounds, themes etc to the lowestpossible settings. In other words, don't have a background, or a screensaver. Then, uninstall McAfee, and all the Samsung rubbish that isn't accessible anyway. Finally, set as many things as possible to classic.
