Hi Ian,

Thanks for the correction. I am not so familiar with the BX commands.

Graham, can't be of much help here other than to say there have been
problems with Braille displays throughout the PM range. Which build are you
running? Th sign-chord followed by a will give you that info. The warm
re-set command, by the way is and sign-chord. Does anyone have the joining
instructions for the PM list to hand? I'm only on it at work.

  Cheers now.

  Ian

    Hi Graham,

You mean you are not getting any Braille out at all? Do you have an
integrated Braille display, or one of the Focus ones? If the integrated
one, make sure it is fully pushed home or connected. Other than that, I
am
not sure. Have you tried a warm reset? Control-Alt-Delete? Or in the
BX
case, I believe it is all six dots with space bar.

    Hi Steve!

So what could be causing the Braille display to be blank during normal
    operation then? Cheers!

    Hi Graham,

As Ian said, I don't think you can turn Braille off at all. As for
Grade 2,
go to Settings, which I think on the BX, is SH chord S, enter on Braille
settings, and the first option is Grade 2 Checked. Uncheck this and you
turn it off. Not a toggle, but you can do it. Note though that this
only
applies to untranslated files. Obviously, if you have a Grade 2 ready
file,
you can't turn off Grade 2, you would have to back translate it.

    Hi all!

Please can someone tell me how to turn the Braille display on and off on
a
Pacmate BX and also how do you change between grade 1 and 2 Braille?
