Ah yes thanks I know that, it was a matter of me being impatient and wanting
to get the laptop set up immediately. Well I am nearly there and should be
fully there tomorrow. My brother was offering to put on the screen reader
but I stupidly said I was fine and now I will have to ask him to do it as I
just do not appear to be able to start Narator.

Hi,

RNIB have computer volunteers. I'm not sure whether they cover all areas of
the country, however it would be worth asking before forking out £30. I've
used them once or twice (I'm in South-East London) and found them good.

Hope this helps.

I would get sighted help I just bought recently a toshiba l65012k laptop
with windows 7 64 bit and there was lots of pages of junk you had to fill in
before you even got to that stage or if sighted help is not available yes it
would be worth paying the shop to get you up and running best wishes Andrew

Hi

New computer/laptop out of the box!!! Once I turn it on, then anyone able
to tell me the procedure until Windows 7 logo comes up. What will be the
various dialogue boxes and what will I have to be putting in? I could have
paid the shop £30 for the privilege but I am confident you good people with
personal experience will be able to advise me. If people think I should pay
for this privilege then I am open to that advice too.

Many thanks.

Eleanor
