Hi Adrian When I spoke to them at Techshare, I was informed that it would be available in the shops like Tesco, Sainsbury etc, rather than it be developed specifically with us in mind. That is, it isn't something you buy on the highstreet but rather something that in time is available in a selection, hopefully a wide one, of mainstream products. A positive aspiration, frustrating in that it is a bit of a long game but given the history of unique talking devices such as the netgem and pure sonus probably not at all a bad one. It is meant to be a commercially available job, but I don't know anything about timescales. I managed to pop over to the stand while working, but didn't have much time to stay there. I haven't seen anything about it since. Sorry I can't offer further information to the above. I was informed that some of the netgem channel tags are now out of date due to repositioning of channels, hence my query regarding the accessibility of more modern Freeview boxes from a totally blind person's point of view. In my opinion, what is really needed now is either for the netgem box to be updated to allow for the channel repositioning, or for a new box to be manufactured which allows for more up-to-date channel positions while incorporating AD and talking menus. What views do other list members have on the above paragraph, do you agree with my point?
