Yes Steve I know that for myself, but I was thinking of the person using an N70 who asked about memory cards and how best to store contacts.

Hi Jackie, You are better off using the Data Transfer tool in the newer phones. So when you get a new phone, such as an N95, you run the Data Transfer tool, and it bluethooths all the contacts at once from your old phone to the new one, provided Bluetooth is switched on on both phones. No need to store contacts on the memory card. All the best Steve -----Original Message-----From: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf OfJackie Cairns Sent: 19 November 2007 08:16 To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: [access-uk] Re: N70 and memory cards Alex, you could store them on the SIM card because, unlike memory cards, your SIM will fit another phone of the same network, or any which isunlocked. Memory cards are different, of course, in that there are so manythese days. If you save your contacts to your SIM card, however, I've noticed that the names of your recipients are clipped when you copy them back into the phone's memory. So what I do is Bluetooth all the contacts from one phone to another if and when the need arises. Hope that is of some help, but others may have their thoughts too. I want to ensure that my contacts are storred in the memory card one day. If I ever changed the phone for something else more up-to-date than the N70, how would you advise me to do this. Copy to memory card, or store the contacts somewhere else. Menu 2. Tools 3. File Manager 4. Arrow right once. 5. You should now see the files and folders on the card. Please note not all files and/or folders will be shown. This is by design. Hope that helps. Wendy my wife has inserted the my card in to her N70 and we have gone through all the possible menus and folders but cannot seem to access the files on the card. We have looked in tools where we found the memory card, but when selectingthe memory card we are just shown the name and size of card and amount ofmemory used. But unfortunately, no files. The files are definitely on the card as I copied them from the computerusing a card reader and checked beforehand that they were successfully onthe card. Thanks in advance for all help offered.
