Very good point, Ian.

I've asked for this to feature to be included, so hopefully the change
will soon be made more permanent.

George.

Damon et Al,

JAWS will announce the dash as a minus if it is followed by either a
number or a dollar symbol, even if punctuation is turned off. It
doesn't announce the dash as a minus when it is followed by a pound
symbol.

The trick is to add an entry to the dictionary with a dash followed by
a
pound symbol being announced as "minus pounds".

Regards.

Ian
