Hi Richard,

I'm beginning to get up and running now, though (like you) I'm probably going to have to disable that second display adapter also tomorrow. I wonder if you changed your JAWS setting to the classic ones and whether that improved things enough for you or whether that made little difference anyway.

Now that you've been running a little longer, have you any further tips? Did you get rid of much of their software? I had quite a blitz (well, a friend of mine did) since there's no way I'm going to run MacAfee or quite a few of the other (visual) applications. Anyway, I think I like it so far and am getting used to the layout etc.

Thanks for any more advice you can give. Don't worry if you can't. I'll get on to Tech Support if and when I have to, of course.

Regards:

Carol, I think you will need a pair of eyes to get yourself running with the
laptop. There's just too much to fill in before you get speech unless you
do that sort of thing regularly.
Basically, very happy with the pc, but found that JFW worked better when the
second display adaptor in the control panel was disabled. Don't know why
there are two in there.
