Carol, I think you will need a pair of eyes to get yourself running with the laptop. There's just too much to fill in before you get speech unless you do that sort of thing regularly. Basically, very happy with the pc, but found that JFW worked better when the second display adaptor in the control panel was disabled. Don't know why there are two in there. Richard

Hi Richard, I thought you'd be interested to know that I've just ordered your laptop and, though I've spent more than I'd originally intended, I think I should be very happy. Please tell me how things have gone for you so far? I'd also be interested to learn about the keyboard layout and in fact the layout of the machine, since obviously your wife will have been able to tell you some things and we don't have any sight in the house. Please therefore, I'd be grateful to receive any information you can give, however small, if it saves me having to wait around for a pair of eyes that work! <Smile> I look forward to hearing further from you. -- Carol carol.pearson@xxxxxxxxxxxx ----- Original Message ----- From: "Richard Godfrey-McKay" <richard@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, October 20, 2006 9:48 AM Subject: [access-uk] Re: LAPTOPS > Hi Carol, My partner and I bought two dells this week.
