Wendy On the page where you purchase the book, under the button which allows you to purchase it, there is quite a lot of book information. It is not always the same, but somewhere on the page, usually where it tells you details of the book, it will say text to speech and will either say enabled or disabled. Probably the easiest way to find it until you know where to look is to search for the phrase "text to speech", and it will either say enabled or disabled after it. If you are looking for a particular book, and cannot find whether the speech is enabled or not, just email me at David.russell8@xxxxxxxxxxxx And tell me the book you propose to buy. I will then look up the book and tell you exactly where to find what you want. If it was in the same place for every book it would be easy, but sadly that is not the case. It is always there somewhere though. One thing to remember when purchasing books is that you should ensure that text to speech is enabled before you purchase. This is usually the case, but some publishers will not give permission for their books to be read using speech. Another thing worth poiting out is that Amazon have something called Kindle daily deal which means one book is discounted each day, usually to a cost of 99p. For wireless you set-up the device to use your wireless connection (if you have one). You buy the book and if wireless is turned on the book is downloaded automatically to your Kindle. I buy practically all my books using the wireless connection. I purchase books (using my PC) in the Kindle store as, to my knowledge it is very difficult, (if not impossible) to purchase them, as a blind person using the shop online facility on the Kindle. I use Jaws, on my PC.
