So how did you manage to use up your three lives then Peter. I thought that
you had done a factory restore without trying to save your credits

Apparently, your key is "stored" at FS. I think it's a two part process.
One
part on your hard drive, another activated from FS.

Hi,
Ok as I said there is no token. Think of a key as a machine, so when
you factory restore your machine, blowing away all your settings, the
hardware is the same, thus reinstall of JFW won't loose a key. (Well
that's the theory anyway).

Hi,
There is no token on the CD. The system is registered to a specific
set
of components in the machine, not to a file on the hard drive.

Does that mean then, if you put the cd in by mistake it places another
key in the hard drive? I am not clear at all. When I installed v6, I
used the auth cd two or three times by mistake. On the start up, I
had
two jaws were trying to register at the same time. I am not sure what
was going on.

George, if this is the case, I think its ridiculous. FS might have
made
it clear that your auths were numbered. I understand this was the case
of the old floppy, but I thought things had changed. When I installed
an
auth using the CD, I was not prompted to place a key on the hard
drive,
it simply said a number had been placed on your hard drive, nothing
about auth key, and nothing about removing an auth key. Every time I
placed that CD into the tray, it automatically placed a number onto
the
hard drive. Honestly, this is enough to make me move over to Window
Eyes.
Dead serious.

Please tell me I'm wrong. I had a bit of trouble

my laptop and had to reformat and reinstall many times.
Now,
on installing Jaws 6, with the new CD activation, I get
the

you are not limited to the amount of

Surely not! Tell me I'm doing something wrong.
