Ah, thanks for the update my friend! Now I know, <Smiles> Sorry, for throwing a spanner in the works there, Adrian. Hope you find the Zen you've ordered to be what you need! -- Carol carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxOn Saturday, April 12, 2008 11:29 PM (UK time), Chris & Doris at chipmunks@xxxxxxx said:
the 2nd generation zenstone does have a speaker. I have a 1 gig one here that does. i have not seen any of the 2 gig ones here but keep looking. the 1-gig model with its inbuilt speaker is maybe a tiny bit thicker than the origianl Zenstone but if there is a difference, it is negligible. The speakers are very very tiny and i personally have not tried to play out of them as I doubt they'd sound too impressive. g,>Imagine a RAdioshack clock playing music ... ,g. the 1-gig Zenstone with speaker does not have any dispaly and is identical in handling and performance than the 1st generation one. hth Doris At 10:56 PM 4/12/2008 +0100, you wrote:The Zenstone 1GB doesn't have a built--in speaker and, so far as I know, the ones that are 2GB at Amazon don't either ... I'd be inclined to think that makes it a little bigger and, well, maybe it has a screen too .. Dunno but hope someone else knows for sure. -- Carol carol.pearson29@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx On Saturday, April 12, 2008 8:43 PM (UK time), Adrien Collins at adriencollins22160@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx said:Hi Graham and Adrian Thanks for the info, just to check with you guys I have copied the details from the order confirmation to make shore I've ordered the correct type of stone, also, where can I get a user manual not that I think I shall need it seeming that it is so easy to use. Make sure you get the stone, not the stone plus - the plus models have a screen and are less easy to use. I have a few questions to ask: Is creative media player or the software which comes with the zenstone accessible with hal? Is it easy to use the zenstone itself? I notice from the many lists that many vi people use zenstone, I really want to get one so that I can download mp3 talking books as I am limited being in France, can you recommend some good sites please, Do I have to use the creative software to copy my mp3's to the zenstone? These are just a few of the questions I have for now, no doubt I'll have more as time goes on, I only wish that I had taken notice of the posts on the groups over the past few months. One last thing, can somebody please give me the website for sendspace.
