What about the arguement that has been on accessuk re blind people demonstrating equipment for blind. As one thrown off BCAB I cannot avail of the privilege but I wonder how many blind and partially sighted employees/demonstrators Apple will bring along. If none, I hope jthey/apple get a slating like Sight & Sound did on the accessuk list which was in my opinion totally uncalled for. ----- Original Message ----- From: <Clive.Lever@xxxxxxxxxxx>

Hello Brian,...and this is to say nothing of the opportunity to meet other blind and partially-sighted people who are using the equipment you want to know about. All the expertise from sighted sales reps in the shops can't hold a candle to the experiences of people who use the equipment for real, and in the same way that you do, or hope to do.Regards, Clive Clive Lever Diversity Advisor01622 221163 (extension 7000 1163) Room 1.15, Sessions House, County Hall, Maidstone, ME14 1XQ. If you do, kindly get your ass off your seat and go visit them, they'll gladly show you how to use voice over. Else, this is a paid event organized by technology experts in a conference venue with workshops and a buffet lunch, and you wont get the kind of hands on experience and specialist knowledge from an apple store without paying for it or cueing up at the genius bar.All the best, Ibrahim. ----- Original Message ----- From: "the williams family" <therefuge@xxxxxxxxxxxx> To: <access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thursday, December 09, 2010 10:43 AM Subject: [access-uk] I am apauledSighted people can go into any high street store and check out products for free. So if you are visually impaired you have to pay £45 or £50 totry out comercially available products, and with a representative from the company concerned present? Access to products and services legislation, ami misunderstanding something?
