Kevin, What version of Goldwave are you using and will JAWS 9 work with it? Here's how to add a new preset for a volume adjustment that doesn't come as a default. 1. Use Control+O to open a file. 2. Once a file has been selected and opened in the goldwave window, use alt+C to open the Effect menu. 3. Arrow up or down until you find the effect you wish to create a preset for, in this example, the volume submenu. 4. Press right arrow to open the submenu and select the volume effect you wish to create a preset for, in this example, Change Volume. 5. Press enter to open the Change Volume dialogue. 6. You will now land in the presets combo box, arrow up or down to find the preset closest to that which you wish to create. In this example, we have a preset for decreasing volume by -7.5DB and we want to create a new effect to decrease volume by 9DB. 7. When the -7.5DB preset is located, press shift+tab to move to an edit field that contains the value of the decrease in volume. This currently says -7.50. 8. Key in -9.00 in this edit field. 9. Now press tab to get back into the preset combo box and overtype the description with a new description which can be anything you find meaningful. In this example, we key -9DB. 10. Tab again to the Add Preset button and press enter. 11. You can now tab to the Ok button to execute your new preset or press Cancel if you don't want to execute it right now. Your new preset is now available to use either with a single opened file or by selecting it for a batch conversion. Regards.
