I asked gwmicro and got a rather terse response, they said they will upgrade if the time permits so as has already been said I wouldn't hold your breath.

Hi

At present gwconnect doesn't access all the features of skype, they
haven't up-graded it yet, skype have made it possible to contact your
facebook contact but gwconnect doesn't access these. It is the easiest
way in my opinion to send and read messages.

Regards

Adrien

Excuse me for being thick but why would you want to run both Skype and
GW connect?

Seems nonsensical to me.

Hi,

Possible, but you shouldn't do it. it will confuse GW Connect when you
get phone calls.

All the best

Hi

Sorry to correct you but you can run skype and gwconnect at the same
time, not sure why you are having problems but it is definitely possible
to have both programs running at the same time.

Adrien

Hi Jim,
You can't run G W Connect and Skype at the same time, only one or the
other. Also, make sure that your firewall isn't blocking the Skypekit
run time or any other part of the G W Connect program.

Cheers and good luck,
Sandra.
