Hi John. Not sure I can at the moment as I don't have an example at hand. I have to deal with a lot of excel spreadsheets at work and, in general, most drop downs can be set via the alt + down arrow and then pressing enter when the selection has been made. However, there are some I come across where JAWS doesn't announce the existence of the drop down box in the cell and there is no way of opening it. I don't know enough about creating drop down lists in excel to know if there are a number of different ways of creating them where one approach results in the accessible drop down and the other in a non-accessible...

Hi Kevin, I created a drop box in an Excel sheet and just moved to the cell andpressed alt and down arrow and the box opened. Not really aware of any otherkind of drop box, but if you could give an example I might be able to replicate? That works for some drop down boxes integrated into excel sheets but thereis another use of drop down lists where there is a small graphical arrow inthe cell and JAWS can't recognise this. Placing the JAWS cursor over the graphic with the help of a sighted colleague and then issuing a left mouseclick will open the drop down list but otherwise, I haven't found any otherway of activating this latter type of drop down. At least that is the key sequence in JAWS.
