Hi Derek, In general, I would say desktops are more powerful and certainly a lot cheaper than laptops, but from a convenience point of view, laptops win hands down. Dave Hi Dave I note you say "I do just this, and it's much more convenient than a desktop PC," I wonder what the majority of list members are using desk PC or laptop. Few months ago Blazie were telling me I should go for a desk PC (I was replacing old laptop) I was not happy with that advice as I am used to having a laptop for past 8 years. Blazie where saying a desk PC more powerful and is better etc. But I was saying if a laptop meets my needs that's all that matters. Cut long story short they refused to take an order for training with my new scanner. So the County Council then asked Sight & Sound if they will assist me for training etc and yes they are doing. It seems Sight & Sound seem more focused on what the customer wants, so they seem to have the right attitude.
