Hi Eleanor, you'd only need to buy a voice if you didn't have one already. If you've got voices already you wouldn't need to buy any. When I bought text aloud 3 years ago I'd initially gone to nextup to buy Daniel. They wouldn't let me buy Daniel unless I bought text aloud. I thought at the time that was a bit of a scam, but it's turned out to be a useful little program. I bought Daniel from them. I think it cost me about 30 quid. They also do cheaper voices I think, but I didn't find them as good. One nice thing about text aloud is that you don't have to pay for upgrades. Once you've bought it that's it. I've downloaded it and got it working a treat with no access problems whatsoever. I only have the Sappy 5 Sam voice at the minute. If you have purchased the full version, do you get additional voices, or do you have to pay extra for more voices? Sam is okay for short files, but I think if I had to listen to him for any length of time I might want to punch him! I have some MS Word notes for a student. The student has requested them in audio format. How can I do this?
