Hi John,

Here's one of the rules regarding the Census.

Here's the phone number and address if you want to complain about the inaccessibility of the Internet Code on the printed form. This is for England and Wales. The contact details for Scotland is easily found on the Contact Us page.

Tom, it doesn't matter when you receive the form. The sensus day is 27th March, at least in England it is. There's a reason for a specific date. It's a snapshot of population, so if people could provide the information on any day they chose it wouldn't be a proper snapshot, besides which it would leave it open to manipulation.
                   John.

Actually it was up and running on Monday 21 February, not 21 March. My paper census form arrived today so I was able to fill it in right away.

It actually states that it is launched on Monday 21st March but it's already up and running here in Scotland.

The questions more or less ask
what your situation will be on the 27th of March, so you can go ahead and fill it in now if you know who will be living in your home on that date.

Here's the link for England and Wales, select the links for Scotland or Northern Ireland from this page.

I didn't think you could fill it in until 27 March

Hi Guys,

I've just completed my Census Form online and found it pretty
straightforward.

The only drawback was that you had to enter an Internet Questionnaire Access

Code, which is printed on the front of the paper form. I got my wife to read

it out to me but I would imagine it will scan easily enough.

Things to watch out for.
When checking Radio boxes and Check boxes, make sure you're checking the
correct option as sometimes the question comes before the check box and
sometimes after. Most of the Radio boxes have text added to them stating
what they are.
Also, make use of the mouse pad as there is some help there which doesn't
show up when using the Tab and Arrow Down keys.

It took me about half an hour to complete the form for 2 people but will
take longer if you have kids.

Also, please note that you will be logged out of the form after 10 minutes
of inactivity.

Cheers Tom.
