Hi Dean
It was quite a while ago when I tried booking tickets using the Trainline
site. I seem to recall that there were boxes that you could check or
uncheck relating to which offers you bought, but they didn't speak, and I
had to keep going up and down the page to identify which box to tick went
with which offer. In the end, I gave up and went to the station, which was
oh so much quicker and less hassle to be honest. (smile.) I'm not saying
it's like that now though, I haven't needed to do it.
I also haven't used the National Express website, so couldn't say how well
it works.

If I remember right there were 3 trains there and 3 back on the page but 7
unlabelled boxes for each. I guess they could have been different ticket
types and something relating to 1st class and standard but I'd just be
guessing. What about the nationalexpress.com, was that just a tempary
fault or can't I click the get times button with Jaws?

much better and less cluttered than

I did try to book tickets on that site once but, like you, found some of
the boxes difficult for various tickets. I tend to just walk down to the
station and book tickets as I find it as easy to do and an excuse for a
walk. Perhaps it's a cop-out but there it is. (smile.)

Subject: [access-uk] Booking Train tickets
Hi,
In the past I've used thetrainline.com, not to book but to check the
times as I've found them easy to use and reliable. I was trying to book
some tickets and this time didn't have sighted help and found that on the
page where the Train options are given there are a number of unlabelled
check boxes. I think they're ticket types but I don't know. I then went
to nationalexpress.com and filled in the form on the home page but
couldn't click the times and fairs button, or at least for certain it
didn't work. Has anyone had any success with either the train line or
national express to point me in the right direction?
Thanks
Dean
