Absolutely. It doesn't make sense and very annoying And more to the point a shameful waist of the BBC's resources. When the money has already been invested in audio describing a program and then they, (forgot to put it online), I think then someone has to answer for that. Incidentally, I have been trying to find an email address to write to the BBC about this but with no success. Anyone has an address please? Quick before my sour mode subsides *smile* Cheers, Amro ----- Original Message ----- From: Peter Holdstock To: access-uk@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Sent: Monday, November 08, 2010 6:29 PM Subject: [access-uk] Re: Audio described programs on iPlayer The BBC Iplayer audio description does seem to be a bit hit and miss on occasions. Frustratingly I tried to give them some feedback on the Iplayer beta before it was finally released but even found the feedback process to inaccessible. That said it's all pretty good though, but I like you have found sometimes audio described episodes don't come on Iplayer. Must be down to human error rather than not intending to put them on as missing out occasional episodes wouldn't make sense. I mean a TV series with only some of its episodes audio described? I am trying to find the audio described versions of the current episodes of Reggie Perrin and Being Human on BBC iPlayer but they don't seem to be there. Unless I am going senile, I am sure last week's instalments were audio described! Sorry if this is a basic question but, believe it or not, I started paying attention to the audio description feature only very recently. I gave audio description a go a couple years back but found it to be intrusive. I tried it again in the past few weeks but I am finding it to be very useful this time! Any thoughts? Cheers, Amro
