Hi Damon, not from the contact you provided I am afraid. However, I dropped the
BBC a line too and they wrote back saying that they were having some technical
issues with uploading AD versions on their site and they were working on
solving them. Anyway the good news is that the BBC seem to have rectified the
AD issue now. AD versions of programs are appearing regularly on iPlayer since.
Or at least the ones I watch! And Amro has lived happily after!

Sorry I meant to let the list know but it slipped my mind.

  Cheers,
  Amro

Thank you Damon. I've emailed the contact you provided and has just dropped
the BBC a line through their complaint form too.

    Cheers,
    Amro

I'm told that this is the right man to give your AD feedback to:
      Alan.McGuffog@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

RedBee make AD for the BBC and work from one of the BBC's buildings in
      west London.

Absolutely. It doesn't make sense and very annoying And more to the
point a shameful waist of the BBC's resources. When the money has
already been invested in audio describing a program and then they,
(forgot to put it online), I think then someone has to answer for that.
Incidentally, I have been trying to find an email address to write to
the BBC about this but with no success. Anyone has an address please?
Quick before my sour mode subsides *smile*

      Cheers,
      Amro

The BBC Iplayer audio description does seem to be a bit hit and
miss on occasions. Frustratingly I tried to give them some feedback on
the Iplayer beta before it was finally released but even found the
feedback process to inaccessible. That said it's all pretty good though,
but I like you have found sometimes audio described episodes don't come
on Iplayer. Must be down to human error rather than not intending to put
them on as missing out occasional episodes wouldn't make sense.

      Hello all,

Does it happen that you get TV series half audio described? I
mean a TV series with only some of its episodes audio described?

I am trying to find the audio described versions of the current
episodes of Reggie Perrin and Being Human on BBC iPlayer but they don't
seem to be there. Unless I am going senile, I am sure last week's
      instalments were audio described!

Sorry if this is a basic question but, believe it or not, I
started paying attention to the audio description feature only very
recently. I gave audio description a go a couple years back but found it
to be intrusive. I tried it again in the past few weeks but I am finding
it to be very useful this time!

      Any thoughts?

      Cheers,
      Amro
