Hi Barry,

It should work with JAWS 6, but I wondered if such an old version would
handle SAPI 5 so well.

Yes, both 4 and 5 come in the download.

All the best

Steve

Hi Steve, when you said I chose the SAPI 4 version, I downloaded the Pro
version of the trial voices - do you mean that there are SAPI 4 versions in
the download as well? I am shamefully ignorant about SAPI and voice
technology... But I assumed that as SAPI 5 was in the menu options in JFW,
it would see the Infovox voices?

If it's all down to JFW version, which version should I upgrade to? My SMA
covers me for v7 but I tried it several times and went back to v6 as I
didn't like the way it behaved in Word or IE. As a result, I'm reluctant to

shell out to upgrade from a version that, so far, seems to be stable and
doing what I need!

Anyway, I really liked the voices, except for that lag, which was so
pronounced on my old museum-piece of a pc that it could not say a letter as
I typed before I typed the next, and it then dumped the letter because I had

hit the next one. I really think that, for the first time, these voices
make a genuinely decent stab at good inflection when reading!

All the best,
Barry G
