Not sure about serial to USB adapters, but would be interested to find out
if it works. There are no problems with Cipher and XP Home; That's what I
use to translate my files into braille. There were some hitches with the
new bookworm software in the beginning, but I think the latest version is
okay. Which version do you have? If it's not the latest one, I can always
send it to you.
