I'd reccomend that you change it. First and formost if people have something to say to the group they can use that one acbny address and secondly as people don't always have personal email addresses, they won't always fish it out of the headers. This is stated from a list moderator and a list user. -----Original Message----- From: Mann, Jean [mailto:Jean.Mann@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, May 22, 2003 9:31 AM To: 'acbny-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [acbny-l] Re: new list lEAVE IT. iF PEOPLE WANT TO REPLY TO JUST ONE PERSON THEY CAN EMAIL THEM PRIVATELY. jUST MY OPINION OF COURSE! -----Original Message----- From: Moore, Don [mailto:Don.Moore@xxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, May 22, 2003 9:06 AM To: 'acbny-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [acbny-l] Re: new list That's correct, but I think it's a good start. I'm willing to change this list if the list members desire. -----Original Message----- From: Jeff Dunn [mailto:jdunn@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, May 22, 2003 8:35 AM To: 'acbny-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [acbny-l] Re: new list Nothing is perfect Don. Accept what we make so. People will still cross post if they cc. -----Original Message----- From: Moore, Don [mailto:Don.Moore@xxxxxxx] Sent: Thursday, May 22, 2003 7:12 AM To: 'acbny-l@xxxxxxxxxxxxx' Subject: [acbny-l] Re: new list This list does have the option to reply to sender but the last time I floated that suggestion on the list, while some expressed a preference for utilizing that option, the majority felt that it would be better to leave the settings the way they are. Juno-l, the list for Guiding Eyes uses that mode, and it seems to keep some of the personal cross-talk off the list. It doesn't entirely eliminate it though.
