That is up to you - if you wish to bid on these - I would just hope that the
winning bidder does their best to preserve whatever QL software is on there
in case it is missing!
There looks to be a high percentage of Spectrum titles unfortunately (and
duplicates). I assume that all of the cartridges will need new felt pads
fitting and from experience 1 in 5 tapes is likely to be jammed and
unusable.
Of course I have a limit, as the preservation project has to try to break
even somehow - but I will not disclose that.
If someone else is willing to spend the money, acquire the tapes and
preserve the software (and pass it on to the preservation team) then that is
great news!
For me the advantage of them being purchased via Dave Park who lives in the
USA is :
a) there is less danger of the tape content being corrupted by x-ray
machines and being moved about in transit
b) he will replace all of the felt pads and sort out the working tapes in
exchange for keeping some of the tapes for his own personal use or sale

Forse la cosa migliore da fare è _non_ fare offerte (per non far salire
troppo il prezzo) e lasciare che Dave Park abbia la possibilità di
aggiudicarselo ad un prezzo non proibitivo... che dite?
