come sospettavo, da qui:

si vede che usa direttamente 'x11' su Linux, significa che si costruisce
tutte le icone, i menù, le barre a mano con suoi widget fatti custom.
Infatti x11 mette a disposizione poco più di un display buffer stile ZX
Spectrum, con punti, linee, colori, ma poco più.
Su macOS usa direttamente il driver immagine Cocoa, che è lo stesso.
Su Raspberry Pi usa SDL o il driver frame buffer
Usa Alsa o Pulse per l'audio portabile tra piattaforme
